From The Crow's Nest: Winter 2025

One of our editors here at Sea Crow Press shared a joke the other day: In order to have a murder of crows, there must be probable caws. It gave us a good mid-winter chuckle and a reminder that it's high time we touched base with the quarterly newslettercomplete with attendant caws and the hope you had a wonderful holiday season and have settled into the new year. We are delighted to share our winter news with you. This edition is filled with updates, news, and exciting events that have taken place over the past few months.

New Releases

We're excited to announce the release of several new titles this winter.

  1. The Horse And The Girl: Poems - Book I of The Crossing Places Series | February 4, 2025 | Madeleine F White

Based on her travels on horseback, Madeleine F White invites us to look beyond the road she rides on and beyond the page she writes, into the beating heart of our natural world and the relationships it contains, including that with herself. The Horse And The Girl is not about a horse and his middle-aged rider, rather it's about discovering what lies at the heart of their blended existence. The Horse And The Girl is book I of The Crossing Places Series which will culminate in an anthology called The Maiden Mother Crone Anthology, out 2026, consisting of reader contributions inspired by the poems in the preceding two books. Find out more or submit your poem here.

  1. Trespassers And Other Stories | March 4, 2025 | Áine Greaney

From coastal Massachusetts to rural Ireland, the characters in Trespassers struggle to reconcile past and present, place and displacement, loss and hope.
